ROY C. MYERS, 83
ROY C. MYERS, 83, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born July 13, 1921, in Moorehead, Kentucky, he was a decorated World War II Army Veteran, working as a Technician on heavy artillery and he received the Purple Heart. He retired from Essex Wire and also worked for Allied Industrial Workers Union as a Coordinator for Collective Bargaining, retiring after 28 years in 1974. He was a life member of Moose Lodge and Fort Wayne Conservation Club. He attended Aripeka Baptist Church, Florida and Wawasee Lakeside Chapel.
Surviving is his wife, Ruth E. Myers of Fort Wayne and Bayonet Point, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cloe Louise Myers, in 1974; son, Royce J. Myers; brother, Arthur R. Myers; and parents, Major Emmett and Mattie (Sutton) Myers.
Funeral service was Monday, June 6, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
