LOOK AT THOSE PEPPERS!

Carol Elam shows off a couple of her 7-inch peppers. They were fresh picked from her garden on Bradbury Avenue on Friday, September 2. She also dropped off some orange, low-acid tomatoes and a few giant red tomatoes.

She mentioned that you can’t can the orange tomatoes without adding a couple of red tomatoes for the proper acid mix.

Carol likes to cook stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls together, and then freeze the extras for a later meal. She said, “This may be my last year for gardening. It’s getting too hard to do all the bending over.”
