KINGSTON RESIDENCE TO STAGE ANTIQUES ROADSHOW
Is your worn Nancy Drew book a first edition? Is Aunt Ruth’s old bracelet made of real Bakelite? Does the hobnail glass that Grandma loved so much have any monetary value?
Curious antique lovers can find out what their treasures are worth when Kingston Residence, 7515 Winchester Road, hosts its own version of “Antiques Roadshow” at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 15.
Antiques will be appraised by realtor and auctioneer Tim McCulloch, owner of McCulloch Systems Inc., 812 E. Tillman Road.
Residents and guests are invited to bring one item each for appraisal, which will take about 5 to 10 minutes. The item must be small enough to be carried by hand.
“Antique Road Show” has been popular with viewers of the PBS network for nearly 11 years. The three-time Emmy-nominated program features some of the world’s most respected antiques and collectibles experts turning trash into treasure and, now and then, treasure into trash.
The event at Kingston Residence is open to the public. Reservations are suggested in order to keep waiting time at a minimum. Reservations may be made by calling 747-1523.
