L. JACK BLUE, 80
L. JACK BLUE, 80, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, January 18, 2008, at Parkview Hospital. Born on March 28, 1927, in Fort Wayne, he had worked as a laborer at Kennedy Manufactoring (then Chrysler Corp.) in Van Wert, Ohio, retiring in 1989. A 1944 graduate of Van Wert High School, he served in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; daughters, Cathie Blue and Cindy (Brett) Throne, both of Columbus, Ohio, Tammy Kimball of Fort Wayne, Jackie Vibbert of Van Wert, Ohio, Judi McNiece of Fort Wayne, Pam Day of Indianapolis, and Vickie Zickafoose of Columbia City; son, Steven Blue of Toledo, Ohio; sister, Beverly (Carl) Evans of Van Wert, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and loving pets, Teddy and Angel.
He was preceded in death by parents, Owen and Geraldine Blue; first wife, Patricia; brothers, Max, Gene and Terry; and sister, Judy.
Service was Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation was Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio.
