KLENKE’S CELEBRATE 60TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Charles and Joan Klenke recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a celebration hosted by their daughters: Dianne Diehl, Patricia (John) Norris and Jennifer (Mark) Christlieb in the Fellowship Hall at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 19.
In attendance was Lois (Joe) Potts, Maid of Honor; Jean Klenke, one of the bridesmaids and Eileen (Robert) Benner who was one of the servers at the wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. Klenke were married at St. Paul Methodist Church on June 17, 1950 by the Reverend Harry Harshberger.
Charles is retired from the Kmart Distribution Center and Joan works part-time in the Telecommunications Department of Lutheran Hospital.
The couple have eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A son Richard Wayne Klenke and a grandson, Andrew Richard Roth are deceased.
The couple have lived in the Waynedale area for forty-five years.
