IT’S HAPPENING IN LAKESHORES
Lakeshores Community Association has been working very hard for the last six months revitalizing their association. The Association’s primary goal was to establish by-laws, which it has not had for at least 14 years.
The neighborhood is keeping some of the old traditions, such as the Christmas decoration contest, welcome baskets for new neighbors, and getting soil and flowers from Broadview Florist.
Some of the new things that are being done: “Children at Play” signs and sympathy cards for the death of a neighbor.
And new this year, starting in May, and going through September, yard of the month. The judge for the yard contest is a Master Gardener. Our first winners (pictured above) are Bill and Kim Osterholt at 1626 Lakewood Drive & Tim and Deb Meyer at 6810 Heatherton Drive. Please drive by and see how nice these yards look.
Since the election of new board members in November, we have had two meetings with very good attendance. The board wants to thank everyone for the great input at these meetings and hopes for this to continue so that we can keep improving our neighborhood.
