RUSSELL G. MCMILLEN, 90
RUSSELL G. MCMILLEN, 90, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in VanWert, OH, Russell worked as an engineer with Navistar for 33 years. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy during WWII. Russell was also a member of the American Legion Post #296.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette McMillen of Fort Wayne; daughter, Kathleen (Steven) Smith of Fort Wayne, IN; sons, Michael (Nancy) McMillen of Franklin, TN, Dennis (Gale) McMillen of Mansfield, OH, and Kenneth (Sandra) McMillen of Fort Wayne; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren.
Russell was preceded in death by his first wife, Mable McMillen; parents, Walter and Goldie McMillen; and 3 sisters, Marjorie, Annabelle, and Mary.
Service was 10:30 am, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd with calling one hour prior. Calling also Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana.
