RICHARD M. “DICK” SAALFRANK, 83
RICHARD M. “DICK” SAALFRANK, 83, of rural Ossian passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016. He was born on September 20, 1933 in Allen County, a son of the late Carl and Clara (Judt) Saalfrank. He retired from K-Mart Distribution in 1992, and later worked at Sears at Southtown Mall. He enjoyed spending time bird watching, working with flowers, and bowling.
Surviving family include his children, Debra Martin, Sandra (Joseph) Kellogg, and Lynn (Kathy) Saalfrank; 13 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; siblings, Alberta Whittern, Shirley Clover, and Robert Saalfrank; and companion, Emma “Lee” Blanchard.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Beverly (Ewing) Saalfrank; and brothers, Melvin, George, and Raymond Saalfrank.
Funeral service was 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian.
