HALLOWEEN PET PARADE AND FALL FESTIVAL

Four-footed ghosts and goblins are lining up to take part in the Halloween Pet Parade and Fall Festival Fundraiser sponsored by Paws & Remember on Saturday, October 22, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Franke Park, Pavilion #1.

Each year, many animals arrive on our doorstep after having suffered at the hands of their owners. Dogs like Stella.

Stella arrived at a mere 18 lbs. After providing her with veterinary care, it was determined her condition was due to a lack of nutrition. Simply feeding Stella would resolve her detrimental state. Not all are as lucky as Stella who now lives with her new family and feline friend, Napoleon.

“With the support of the community through this fundraiser we will persist in the efforts to stop cruelty and neglect against animals. We truly appreciate and are humbled by the community’s dedication to this cause.” Amy-Jo Sites, Director

The Halloween Pet Parade and Fall Festival will include many FREE activities: bounce house, animal themed pumpkin painting/carving contest (pumpkins must be carved or painted at home and brought in), kids face painting, vendors and more. The Costume contest entry fee is $10 per animal – celebrity judges will be on hand to determine the best animal/human combo, most unique costume, best creative homemade, best animal duo (2 pets) and cutest costume ever. There will also be a dunk tank and you never know who might show up to help raise funds! Tickets for raffle prizes, caricature drawings, food and photos will be available for purchase and you’ll even meet critters from Indiana Wild!
