JOHN F. “JOHN BOY” JOHNSTON, 63

Obit-JOHNSTON-JohnJOHN F. “JOHN BOY” JOHNSTON, 63, of Yoder, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born July 13, 1950 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a son of the late Frederick and Virginia Johnston.

He worked as a truck driver for OmniSource and was a Navy Veteran. He enjoyed gardening, riding his Harley, and spending time at his home with family and friends.

He was a friend to all who knew him, curious beyond belief, and would do anything for you, even if he just met you.

He is survived by his wife, Millicent “Millie” Johnston of Yoder; daughter, Nicole (Andy) Niezer of Fishers, Indiana; siblings, Shirley (Mike) Scheuerman of Fishers, IN, Mary Mabee of Salt Lake City, Utah and Jim (Shurma) Johnston of Spencerville, IN; and brother-in-law, Bob Fritzinger.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Cook in 1979; and sister, Beverly Fritzinger.

A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
