A NEW STAR IS RISING IN WAYNEDALE
North Star Accounting is opening its second office at 3108 Lower Huntington Road, next to the railroad tracks. Expected opening date is Monday, January 27, 2014.
Owner, June L. Ball, CPA started the business in 2005 out of her home. In 2008, she opened her first office in Roanoke with a vision to create an accounting firm for all people.
Ball explains, “Many people don’t know how to maximize their potential tax savings. We not only prepare client taxes, we also discuss the upcoming year and how they can take advantage of new laws and regulations.”
North Star Accounting’s new office is different from other offices in the Waynedale area. Clients meet one-on-one with a tax professional inside a closed-door room. This allows clients to freely discuss their personal financial and tax situation in private. North Star Accounting strives for a comfortable and friendly experience while keeping the client’s information confidential.
When putting together the staff of North Star Accounting, Ball hired individuals with tax preparation experience and friendly personalities. “We have built our reputation in Roanoke on being easy to talk with not just about taxes, but also other aspects of life. At North Star Accounting, we are a ‘judgment free zone’. We strive for long term relationships with all our clients,” Ball said.
North Star Accounting also works to build long-term relationships with the communities where its offices are located. Giving back to the community is one of the core values of the company. North Star Accounting is open year round, with extended hours during the tax season. The Waynedale Office is open from 8:00am – 8:00pm, Monday through Saturday, with other hours by appointment until April 15th.
