POSITIVITY KEEPS YOU HEALTHY
Here at the Waynedale News, we are asked quite often, “Why only positive news?” Our response is generally something along the lines of “the other news outlets have negative news covered” or “we want to encourage a positive outlook on the community.” But exploring deeper meanings and questioning further than these responses, that being positive in all aspects has major impacts on our daily life.
Our outlook in life shapes our minds and leads us about the world, taking in information and interacting with everything we come in contact with. Many feel bombarded with the seemingly constant negative situations and news surrounding daily life. The negativity we surround ourselves with and even negative “self-talk” has been proven by studies to have great health risks. It may be worth it to you to begin positive thinking practices, as you will live longer, have lower rates of depression, reduced stress related illnesses and a better physical and psychological wellbeing.
We at The Waynedale News see it fit to make change by highlighting what is positive and good for our readers. We would wager, that for every bad thing other media outlets announce there are at least 20 positive things that could have taken its place. Of course there are always exceptions with regard to the public’s need for awareness of specific negative things that are taking place. Certainly we as a culture are hooked on (and starting to get sick of) the negative news we tune into, that unknowingly hurts our minds, bodies and well-being.
It is our guarantee and mission, that we will always report the positive, family friendly news that keeps you healthy, and will always widen your smile. Remember, we are your community newspaper, reporting on the things that matter most to you. We are always looking for local writers, submissions, news tips and ideas to help The Waynedale News be the best newspaper in Waynedale, Indiana!
