MICHAEL LEON ALEXANDER, 59

MICHAEL LEON ALEXANDER, 59, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, February 20, 2009, at his residence.

Born November 26, 1949, in Fort Wayne, he worked in the ice cream business for many area companies. He enjoyed geneology and was an avid Komets hockey fan.

He is survived by his wife, Charyl Alexander of Fort Wayne; mother, Beverly Alexander of Arcola; daughters, Rachel Alexander of Fort Wayne and Andrea (Joseph) Smeltzer of Roanoke; granddaughter, Mikaylah Smeltzer; and brother, Mark (Linda) Alexander of Yoder.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene DeWitt Alexander.

Service was Tuesday, February 24 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation was Monday, February 23 at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.

Memorials to S.P.C.A. or Mikaylah Smeltzer Education Fund.
