HOOPS FOR HEARTS AT MAPLEWOOD
Monday morning, February 23, the Mad Ants invaded Maplewood Elementary School in Waynedale. The semi-pro basketball team mascot was there to emphasize the Hoops for Hearts program, which heightens awareness to the risks of heart disease.
The mascot, under the supervision of physical education teacher Krista Marcum, dribbled, did lay-ups, shot jumpers and experimented with controlled pandemonium.
