BARBARA S. AUER, 83

BARBARA S. AUER, 83, died Friday, January 2, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born in Indianapolis, and worked as a Security Consultant for Lincoln National Life Insurance Company for 15 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church and Fort Wayne Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Survivors include her son, Daniel G. (Dianna) Auer of Albion; daughter, Nancy L. Oxner of Huntington Beach, California; grandsons, Bradley and Brent Auer; great-grandchildren, Emma and Sarah; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel G. Auer; and brothers, John A. Scudder and Dr. James P. Scudder.

Memorial service was Wednesday with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road.

Memorials to Plymouth Congregational Church.
