MARCLYN JANE HILBERT, 80

MARCLYN JANE HILBERT, 80, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008, in Michigan. Born April 13,1928, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Elvie W. and Maude E. Dafforn, she moved to Plymouth, Michigan, then retired to North Twin Lake, Howe, Indiana with her husband of 56 years, Dale Hilbert. A devoted wife and mother, bowling was an award-winning passion she enjoyed for 50 years. She was an avid gardener, fisherman, and loved to dance.

Marclyn is survived by her loving husband, Dale of Howe; a son Daniel Hilbert of Haslett, Michigan; her daughters, Debra (Dean) Gherardini of Westland, Michigan, and Denna (Michael) Emenhiser of Woodburn; daughter-in-law, Mary Simkow of Garden City, Michigan; and her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Hilbert; and her brother, Thomas Dafforn.

Service was Friday, August 22, 2008 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road. Visitation was Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
