The Lady Blazers Volleyball team of Roanoke Baptist School just finished its greatest season ever, winning all but one game. That one loss came in a tourney championship match in Louisville, Kentucky when Nelson County and Roanoke, both undefeated for the season, went head to head. Nelson County won the first game 25 to 15. The Blazers came back to win the second game 25 to 21, and Nelson County took the third game by ten points to win the championship.

Over the season the Roanoke Blazers won 23 matches, including taking the championship of their own Blazer Classic tournament, which included teams from Indiana, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio.

Jessica North, a Roanoke Baptist senior, was selected the tourney M. V. P. She will be the only starter graduating, so thoughts are already turning toward another good season next year.
