NATIONAL LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK
The Lutheran preschools of Fort Wayne came together Wednesday, March 8 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Waynedale to celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week. Children were excited as they arrived on busses, in cars, and in vans. They assembled in the church for singing led by Doug Reynolds and Sue Doepner from Mt. Calvary, and a short Bible message from Pastor Hearn of Praise Lutheran on Dupont Road. A morning of fun followed as they ate snacks together, participated in movement activities in the gym, and made a craft to take home. Each child constructed a block from a cross shape to remember the theme ‘Building Disciples’.
