ROBERT V. “BOBBY” ESHCOFF, 78
ROBERT V. “BOBBY” ESHCOFF, 78, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at his residence. The lifelong resident of Fort Wayne served in the Army during World War II. His parents, Vasil Eshcoff and Olga (Paliganoff) were born in Macedonia. He started in the restaurant business with his brother, John Eshcoff, in 1948. He owned and operated several restaurants in Fort Wayne, including Southside Gardens. Since 1969, he and his son, Steve, had owned and operated Lambro’s Restaurant. He was an active member of St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church; was active in the choir; and was a member of M.P.O. (Macedonian Patriotic Organization). He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Natka; daughter, Nancy (Tom) Boyer of Fort Wayne; son, Steve Eshcoff of Fort Wayne; sister, Helen (Russ) Choka of Fort Wayne; brother, Bill (Norma) Eshcoff of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Annie and Dave Boyer and Mike and Tim Eshcoff.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John; and sister, Luba Christoff.
Service was Saturday, February 4, at St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, 3535 Crescent Ave., with Fr. David Meinzen officiating. Visitation was Friday, February 3, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
