ELLEN (INMAN) GILKEY, 87
ELLEN (INMAN) GILKEY, 87, of San Bruno, California, formerly of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, January 28, 2006, at Peninsula Hospital, Burlingame, California. Born May 4, 1918, in Blackford County, she was a schoolteacher for 33 years. She worked at Walnut Grove Schools near Noblesville, Hartford City Schools and then retired from Southwest Allen County Schools, in 1982.
Surviving are, her daughter, Dana Gilkey of San Bruno, California; sister, Gaynel Hurry of Cleveland, Ohio; and special aunt, Ruth Shrack of Redkey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Gilkey, in 1974; son, Jerry Gilkey, in 1994; and brothers, Neil Inman and Murry Inman.
Funeral service was Tuesday, January 31, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
