LEE “HUCK” PENCE, 69, of Churubusco, died Wednesday, November 3, 2004, at his home. Born November 23, 1934, in Whitley County, he was a truck driver for Brooks Construction for 21 years, retiring in 1997. He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, Columbia City.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon K. Pence of Churubusco; three daughters, Lisa Hurt of Harlan, Sherrill Hibler of Fort Wayne, Sandra Zumbrun of Atlanta, Georgia; two sons, Jerry Pence of Berne, Doug Pence of Butler; brother, Paul Pence of Churubusco; three sisters, Jean Nelson, Homossa, Florida, Roberta “Bobbie” Laycoff of Fort Wayne, Mary Limecooley of Angola; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas L., brother, Bill Pence, and parents, Arthur and Grace Pence.
Memorial service was Saturday, November 6, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial at Prairie Grove Cemetery.
