MICHAEL TODD ROSS, 40
MICHAEL TODD ROSS, 40, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, September 12, 2004, after a valiant ten month battle with lung cancer, at Lutheran Hospital. Born October 30, 1963, in Decatur, he was a self employed auto and truck mechanic, welder and fabricator. He owned and drove mini-stock car #41, in Angola, Fort Wayne, Kalamazoo and other Midwest racetracks and won many races. He received his auctioneer’s license at age 17 from the Reppert Auctioneering School and was a graduate of Wayne High School.
Surviving are his mother, Karen (Cauble) Ross Bazczak of Fort Wayne; father, Lanny W. Ross of Fort Wayne; sister, Sherri Ross of Markle; brother, Dean Ross and family of Canton, Ohio; nephew, Joseph Ross of Fort Wayne; stepmother, Rebecca Ross; and his step siblings and their families, Shane and Gage Benson, both of Fort Wayne and Meredith Benson of Arlington, Virginia.
A brief graveside service was held Wednesday, September 15, at Decatur Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, September 14, at Elzey Patterson & Rodak Funeral Home, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne.
