JOHN C. PRITCHARD SR., 87
JOHN C. PRITCHARD SR., 87, died Thursday, September 9, 2004, at Kingston, Healthcare Center. He attended Marion High School and was a formidable tennis player, having won the Indiana State Tennis Doubles Championship in 1933. He was a member of Summit Lodge No. 170 F.&A.M., Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine. Mr. Pritchard retired in 1979 as a sales representative. An avid golfer, he moved to Barefoot Bay, Florida, until returning to Fort Wayne in 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Pritchard of Fort Wayne; son, John C. (Lona) Pritchard Jr. of Roanoke; stepsons, Mark R. (Grace) Merchant of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bruce R. (Patrice) Merchant of Evanston, Illinois and Todd H. (Maggie) Merchant of Fort Wayne; stepdaughter, Barbara B. (Howard) Porino of Chicago, Illinois; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Kirk P. Merchant, in 1998.
Funeral Service was Sunday, September 12 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Private burial at Lindenwood Cemetery.
