HOHAM COMPETES IN NATIONALS

The spirited National Championship competition of the United States Pony Clubs was held July 19-23 in Lexington, KY. Kirsten Hoham (second from left) 13, a Pony Club member from Silver Snaffles Pony Club in Fort Wayne, was a competitor. She competed in Quiz as a member of the Great Lakes Region team. Quiz is an unmounted equine quiz bowl competition. The team placed fifth out of 39 teams competing at the Junior-D level. All participants in the USPC Championships have previously qualified by attaining top scores at their regional rallies throughout the country.

United States Pony Club is a non-profit youth education association that teaches riding and the care of horses to children through age 21.

The public is invited to attend an open meeting of the Silver Snaffles Pony Club on Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at 6pm, hosted by EPONA Stables, 11455 N. 400 W.–90, Roanoke, IN. Anyone interested in learning more about Pony Club is encouraged to attend.
