DR. REED ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE FOR THREE AUGUST TOWN MEETINGS
What: Superintendent of Public Instruction Suellen Reed announced three August town meetings.‑ The town meetings have Dr. Reed traveling to Fort Wayne, New Albany, and Evansville (in order of scheduled dates).
“Our town meetings will enable us, as in the past, to take our message out of Indianapolis and to deliver it in a respectable, localized, and old-fashioned atmosphere,” said Dr. Reed.
When: Each town meeting stop will feature a luncheon with local business people, a student forum for high school students, and culminate in the afternoon/early evening with the actual town meeting.
Who: Dr. Reed and appropriate Department of Education personnel will be presenting information and answering questions in regard to such topics as the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and Public Law 221, ISTEP+ and the Graduation Qualifying Exam, and general education issues.‑ Dr. Reed will be joined by staff from the North Central Regional Education Laboratory, Learning Point Associates, who will assist in facilitating each meeting and issue a report on the overall recommendations.

ANNUAL GOLF OUTING
