SMOKE ON THE WIND
One of my favorite Bible passages is Proverbs 3:5-6.‑ I thought about that passage, and others as well, when I was at St. Joe Hospital recently to visit a very dear friend who was about to undergo surgery.‑ I was having flashbacks to the time when I was there as a young boy, recovering from surgery myself, and I could recall looking out the window of my room in the evening and seeing a neon sign on top of a building.‑ The sign was a deer, and the neon lights gave you the impression that it was running.
A deer is a sign of innocence and trust, and I was, along with many others, praying to The Creator for my friend, trusting that my prayers would be answered.‑ I was having the faith and innocence of a child of God in saying them.
I visited the gift shop at the hospital, and there was the manifestation of prayer answered.‑ Two angels, by the names of Carol and Joan Obergfell – sisters – were working in the gift shop.‑ In the short time I spent in that St. Joe Hospital gift shop, I felt, in seeing their smiles and hearing their voices, that God was saying, “Look at these two wonderful volunteers, and know that all is in Divine Order.‑ Keep praying and trusting, and I will make straight your paths, all of you who come to me with the faith of a child.”
