Navy Petty Officers Mary T. Anderson and Paul M. Cramar Kinter deploy with Enterprise Carrier Group

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Paul M. Cramar Kinter, son of Christine E. and Dean E. Kinter of Fort Wayne, recently departed for a six-month deployment while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, home based in Norfolk, Virginia. Cramar Kinter joined the Navy in July 1999.

Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Mary T. Anderson, daughter of Marth J. Anderson of Fort Wayne, recently departed for a six-month deployment while assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Cole, home based in Norfolk, Virginia. Anderson’s ship is capable of providing multi-mission offensive and defensive assets to the carrier group. Anderson is a 1988 graduate of Elmhurst High School. She joined the Navy in June 1988.

Anderson and Cramar Kinter are just two of the more than 6,500 Sailors and Marines aboard the ships of the USS Enterprise carrier battle group. Enterprise is the first U.S. aircraft carrier to deploy since the end of major military operations in Iraq. Carriers like the USS Enterprise are deployed throughout the world to maintain U.S. presence and provide rapid response in times of crisis. They serve as a highly visible deterrent to would-be aggressors, and are equipped with the most versatile and powerful weapons and aircraft available.
