BOY SCOUT TROOP IN NEED OF WELL PUMP AND TANK
A request has come in from a local Boy Scout Troop for a well pump and tank to fit a 4″ well. The one that needs replaced is, “. . . on its last legs,” we were told. If you have one in the back of your garage or barn that is in good working condition and would like to donate it to the Boy Scouts, please give me a call at The Waynedale News (260) 747-4535. Gifts to the Boy Scouts are tax deductible.

LIMBERLOST GIRL SCOUT TROOP HOLDS BRIDGING UP CEREMONY – JUNIOR TO CADETTE
Limberlost Girl Scout Troop #850 had their bridging up ceremony from Junior to Cadette. The girls had a good turn out. PORTAGE CREEK CAMP ASSOCIATION SPONSORED SCOUTS HOLD PICNIC AT PINE LAKE
Our summer picnic outing was attended by members and leaders of Girl Scout Troop #850, Boy Scout Troop #44, and Cub Scout Pack #3044. We held our family day of fun at Pine Lake located in Berne, Indiana. We had a very nice turn out and everyone had a wonderful time.
Pine Lake has plenty of lifeguards so the children are very safe, they have several slides, 3 diving boards, and several other water activities. Pine Lake gives troop leaders a discount for their scouts and their families when you call ahead for ‘Scout Troop’ reservations. Pine Lake is open from 10am to 8pm. For reservations call 1-260-334-5649. Make plans to take your troop there soon; they will love you for it.
SCOUTING WANTS YOUR FRIENDS TOO!
The Boy Scouts of America invites you and your child’s friends to become a part of one of America’s leading values-driven organizations. The Scout program is a valuable resource that can help families accomplish worthy goals while building and strengthening relationships within the family. Scouting combines fun with educational activities and life-long values. It also assists parents in helping their children strengthen character, develop good citizenship, and enhance both mental and physical fitness. In addition, the program provides young people with positive peer groups and tools to shape their future. In Scouting, youth learn ideals like honesty, bravery, and respect. These values help them make constructive decisions throughout their lifetimes and give them the confidence they need to grow and develop. Scouting teaches youth what is right by encouraging them to reflect on lessons learned through Scouting activities. So remember . . . invite your child to bring a friend to their next meeting or your fall Round-up Program!
