President Phil Geller and that is why we have this program. What we are doing is trying to save the lives of children.” “In addition to free helmets, uniform officers from Fort Wayne, New Haven, and Allen County conduct a 45-minute safety class held at Headwaters Park pavilion. We strongly feel that the importance of safety cannot be over stated.” “We have seen time and time again, the tragedy of kids in accidents, and it is absolutely heartbreaking. At least if they are wearing a certified bike helmet, their odds of survival with minimal injury go way up,” concluded Sgt. Geller.
