BERNARD DANIEL WALDEN, 83
Bernard Daniel Walden, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 in Fort Wayne after a long illness. A native of Indianapolis, his parents were Carl E. and Agnes M. Walden. He graduated from North Side High School. A devoted husband and father, he was a WWII Navy Veteran and earned an associate degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. He retired from ITT Aerospace Industries in 1981 with 30 years of service as a model maker. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Mizpah Shrine. He was a member of American Legion Post #241.
He is survived by his wife Helen Irene (Keims) Walden; sons Ron Walden, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; Daniel S. Walden, Winston-Salem, North Carolina; daughter Rebecca W. Walden Bunn, Roanoke, Indiana, brother Carl R. Walden, Sebring, Florida; 8 loving grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Services were held April 14, 2003 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Funeral Home with interment at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Trinity English Lutheran Church or to the Shrine Hospital for Children, 32290 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45229.
