Connie Wells of Wells Accounting has set up shop in Waynedale. What was once PPM, (Petroleum Professional Management) next to the Raindrop Shoppe, is now a new accounting firm.

Connie Wells grew up on the north side of Fort Wayne. She was part of the first freshman class at the new Carroll High School. She worked a few odd jobs after graduating and then in November of 1973, she joined K-Mart as a floor person. Connie was always good with numbers and had thoughts of being a math major and possibly taking up teaching, but she felt she lacked the patience.

In 1975 K-Mart promoted her to the office where she did accounting and took care of cash receipts.

She started at IUPU in 1979 and attended part time until 1989 when she received her BS degree in accounting. During her last year of school, she was already doing taxes as well as continuing her employment at K-Mart.

K-Mart started downsizing in 1988, and Connie went back to floor duties.

A retiring accountant offered to sell Connie his client list and that was the beginning of Wells Accounting. She picked up 80% of the initial client list and worked doing taxes from her home. In 1995 she began advertising and purchased her office at 2119 South Calhoun Street.

Connie now operates her home office in Hoagland, her Calhoun Street office and her new office at 2505 Lower Huntington Road.

Connie Wells and her staff do full service tax preparation at a reasonable price. They provide 24-48 hour refunds and service while you wait. This year Wells Accounting will be providing a service to area doctors for their electronic billing of medical claims.

As an incentive for new customers they will be offering a free one topping pizza from Waynedale East of Chicago Pizza.

Come on in to Connie Lynn.

No extra charge for electronic filing.
