MAYOR PROCLAIMS “FRED TOURKOW DAY”

Tourkow Crell Rosenblatt & Johnston, 203 E. Berry Street, takes pleasure in announcing that James C. Yankosky has been named a partner in the firm.

James C. Yankosky has been licensed to practice law for 6 years. He was raised in Leo, Indiana. His primary areas of practice are family law (including adoption), worker’s compensation, personal injury and bankruptcy. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association and Allen County Bar Association.

Tourkow, Crell, Rosenblatt & Johnston is a general practice firm headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They have branch offices in Waynedale, Monroeville, and Garrett, Indiana. Their firm practices in all area, state, and federal courts. The practice is broad-based and encompasses general litigation, personal injury actions, divorce, real estate, wills, bankruptcy, and corporate matters. This firm has existed since the 1950’s in various forms. Presently, there are four partners and three associates.

Tourkow Crell Rosenblatt & Johnston, also wish to announce that Frederick R. Tourkow, the senior partner of the firm has retired from the active practice of law as of January 2003. Mr. Tourkow has practiced law in Fort Wayne for over 60 years.

Mr. Tourkow was feted at a retirement party at The Summit Club where the mayor issued a proclamation declaring it “Fred Tourkow Day” in Fort Wayne on Saturday, December 21, 2002. In attendance were his family, co-workers and Judges, Stan Levine and Stephen Sims who appointed Mr. Tourkow as Judge for the Day, which made it possible for Mr. Tourkow to retire as lawyer and judge.
