RALPH H. BENTZ, 86

Ralph H. Bentz, 86, died Sunday, November 3, 2002 at his Fort Wayne residence. A native of Fort Wayne, he was the former owner of Bentz Metal Products for 35 years and retired in 1981. He was preceded in death by a son John L. Bentz who passed away in 2002. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Home Lodge #342-F&AM, Scottish Rite, Knights Templar, York Rite, Mizpah Shrine Temple-Past Potentate, royal Order of Jestures, and the Mizpah Shrine Horse Patrol.

He is survived by his wife Ruth E. Bentz, Fort Wayne; daughters Dorothy Jo Wrixon, Fort Wayne; Katherine M. Byrd, Fort Wayne; sister Ruth Ann Winget, New Haven; 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

Masonic Service was held Wednesday, November 6, 2002. Services were held Thursday, November 7, 2002 at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Homes with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to St. Luke Lutheran Church, Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children or Heartland Home Healthcare & Hospice.
