CATHERINE G. SONTCHI, 87
Catherine G. Sontchi, 87, died Monday, November 11, 2002 at Lutheran Hospital. A native of Jackson, Michigan, she was an auditor for Stillmans Department Store for 10 years. She was a member of Christ’s United Methodist Church in Roanoke, Indiana. She enjoyed quilting, crafts and bridge. She is preceded in death by her husband George G. Sontchi who passed away December, 28, 1995 and by brothers Kenneth Bryan, Robert Bryan, Forest Bryan and Eugene Bryan.
She is survived by daughter Shirley Esterline, Yoder; son Gary Sontchi, Wilmington, Delaware; brothers George Durbin, Devil’s Lake, North Dakota; Lloyd Durbin, Puyallup, Washington; Dan Durbin, Milbank, South Dakota; John Durbin, Bismark, North Dakota; Robert Durbin, Mentor, Minnesota; sisters Thais Stallbaum, Paulding, Ohio; Lucille Proxmire, Paulding, Ohio; Evelyn Copenbarger, Nampa, Idaho; 6 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, November 14, 2002 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Live Oak Cemetery, Paulding, Ohio. Memorials to Village of Heritage or Christ’s United Methodist Church, Roanoke, Indiana.
