SILVERS/CHAPUT WEDDING
Christopher Andrew Silvers and Nicole Marie Chaput were married at 4:30pm, June 14, 2002 at Clear Lake in Fremont, Indiana at St. Paul’s Chapel. The service was performed by Father Tim Kummerer. Music was performed by singers Don and Peggy Knvere and pianist Dave Monager.
The bride wore a white empire waist gown with pearl and sequin embroidered flowers. She wore a two-tier fingertip length veil with a pearl & rhinestone studded headpiece. She carried a bouquet of 3 dozen red and white cut roses. The wedding scheme was done in red/black/silver.
The Matron of Honor was Andrea Smeltzer of Toledo, Ohio. Kelly McCarthy, of Chicago, Illinois was the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Anne Gerke of Fort Wayne and Nicole Silvers of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Katelyn Gerke of Fort Wayne was the Flower Girl while the two ring Bearers were Andrew Smeltzer of Toledo, Ohio and Jonathon Silvers of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The best man was Jonathon Gerke of Fort Wayne and the groomsmen were Scott Silvers of Fort Wayne, Jim Stocks, of Fort Wayne, and Stephen Chaput of Defiance, Ohio. Ushers were Charles Silvers and Dick Silvers both of Fort Wayne.
The reception was held at the Potawatomi Inn located in Pokagon State Park, Angola, Indiana following the ceremony; there were 300 guests. The couple will honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica for 5 days. The bride earned her Bachelors of Science from BGSU and is a Science Teacher at Defiance High School. The groom received a Bachelors of Science from Ball State University and is a Science Teacher at Bryan High School. The couple will reside at 1134 Schultz Street, in Defiance, Ohio.
