ONE YEAR LATER

Helen, from H&H Shoe Repair called last Monday. She mentioned that she would be flying her flag on Wednesday, 9-11-2002. She requested a visit from The Waynedale News for a few photos. After stopping at H&H, I drove around the Waynedale area and shot a few more pictures. Rememberance of the tragedy of a year ago was everywhere. Flags flying at half-mast, patriotic sayings on signboards, and a general spirit of cohesiveness and resolve was evident throughout the community. The senseless destruction created by the suicide terrorists is still too current to know if it will be a significant event of our history, but it is apparent at this time, that the residents of Waynedale have not forgotten, and have not been dissuaded in our resolve to stay united.
