CHARLES D. MYERS, 92

Charles D. Myers, 92, died Thursday, July 18, 2002 at Sunrise Assisted Living Center of Fort Wayne. A native of Decatur, Indiana, he was a member of Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church, a former member and of Hope Reformed Church, Holland Michigan, member of G.E. Elex Club, member of G.E. Quarter Century Club and the Holland Michigan Archery Club. A former resident of Holland, Michigan, he accepted overseas assignments with G.E. International, after his retirement, working in India, Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, and the Phillippines. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha M. Myers and sisters, Inez Bracht and Evelyn Myers. “He was a loving husband, Gather, and Grandfather; he was an avid fly fisherman and archer.”

Surviving are daughters Joyce M. Nielsen, Fort Wayne; Carol Rupright, Fort Wayne; brother Robert Meyers, Fort Wayne; 7 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Step-Great-Grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, July 20, 2002 at Klaehn Fahl & Melton Funeral Home Winchester Road Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred Memorials to Cancer Services of Allen County or The American Diabetes Association.
