KIDS-TO-COLLEGE, A SUMMER RESIDENTIAL COLLEGE EXPERIENCE FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS, AT TUFWC
Plans are underway for Kids-To-College, a summer residential college experience for middle school students, sponsored by the Hoosier College Preparatory Program (HCPP) of Taylor University, made possible in part through a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc. The goal of the program is to give students a vision for college attendance and provide the means to achieve future college success.
One hundred students from all over the state of Indiana are expected to participate in two, two-week sessions, from June 16 through July 12. Participants take academic courses from college professors, experience life in a residence hall and explore a variety of other college and cultural experiences. Taylor University students serve as resident assistants to guide students through their campus experience.
Applications are available in the guidance counselor offices of all Fort Wayne middle schools, Allen County Library and at the Hoosier College Preparatory Program office, Taylor Fort Wayne, located at the corner of Rudisill and Indiana Streets. For more information on the Kids to College program, contact the HCPP office at 260-744-8730.
