On Sunday, October 28th the 7th and 8th grade girls from St. Therese Crusaders Volleyball Team captured the Blue League Championship. They were a #3 seed in the tournament with a 4-2 regular season record. They beat Benoit 15-2; 15-2 in the first game and then beat Queen of Angels 15-7; 15-7 to earn their berth in the championship game against Precious Blood. The Crusaders won this hard fought match 7-15; 15-10; 15-5.

Sam Eash led the team in serving in the 3rd and final game by serving 11 straight points to give them an 11-3 lead. Krista Leffers finished off the scoring by serving the last 2 points. Jessica Wyss, the setter, led the team in assists and overall serving for the year. Stephanie Romine played a great game, especially at the net, and led the team in kills. Krista Sheets made some great digs in the back row and played a great all around game. Erika Giese also played a great game at the net and had a good all around game. Miriah Hayden was the #1 substitute off the bench and did whatever was asked of her.

Overall, these girls were very hard workers who never gave up, kept their focus and believed in themselves. We are very proud of all of them.
