MARY ELLEN MASON, 83
MARY ELLEN MASON, 83, of Fort Wayne, went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at home. Born February 24, 1926, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Royce Rex and Martha Ellen (Smith) Rider. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed Bingo and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Susan (John) Osterman, Paul Mason, Royce (Dawn) Mason, and Marie (John) Stanford, all of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers, Homer (Rita) Rider and Robert (Janet) Rider, both of Fort Wayne; and sisters, Betty (Don) Warren, Marietta, Georgia, Marilyn (Don) Alvather of Fort Wayne and Dorothy (Vernon) Cummings of Largo, Florida.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Mason Jr., in 1988; two sisters, Evelyn Bradbury and Eva Lyoy; and one brother, Harold Rider.
Service was 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Drive, Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior.
Memorials to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Heartland Hospice or Turnstone. Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
