JAMES L. KUCHER, 77
JAMES L. KUCHER, 77, died Saturday, July 3, 2004 at home. Born December 8, 1926, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Paul C. and Estella (Beck) Kucher. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a graduate of Indiana University. He was an account executive for WKJG, retiring after 26 years in 1991. He had also formerly worked as a real estate broker and as the sales manager for WANE Radio. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and the American Legion, Lincoln Post 82.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Jo Kucher; son, Paul K. (Kelly) Kucher of Columbus, Ohio; daughters, Kathy (Joe) Lauritsen of Columbia City and Kelly (Adam) Jump of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Nathan Jump, Ryan Kucher and Brennen Kucher; and sister, Mary Ann (Ken) Hamilton of Fort Wayne.
Funeral Service was Wednesday, July 7, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. Burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery with military honors.
