SUPPORT THE CHURCH STREET CORNER BAZAAR

Waynedale United Methodist Women invites you to participate in their Church Street Corner Bazaar, Saturday, November 7 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Waynedale United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Church Street and Old Trail Road.

When you stop at the bazaar not only are you supporting local crafters, but you are contributing to a missions project that the Waynedale United Methodist Women help support.

Locally, proceeds from this bazaar will help with the purchase of three sets of underwear and socks for each of 103 children at Christmas who attend the East Wayne Street Center. A scholarship in the amount of $500 is given to the Waynedale United Methodist Pre-School so that a child in need may attend. A donation of $400 is given to support the ministry of Associated Churches Weekday Classes, which provide Christian instruction to children in public schools. They also donate $500 to the Associated Churches Food Bank system, through which many Waynedale residents have received food assistance.

On a state level, $336 is donated to support the Lucille Raines Residence in Indianapolis, which is a home for men and women in recovery. This home is totally funded by the United Methodist Women throughout Indiana and across the United States. These gifts are in addition to their Indiana conference pledge of $1,000 to undesignated missions.

So as you are enjoying a bowl of soup, a sandwich, or apple dumpling in the snack bar from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., or purchasing homemade cookies and candy from the bake shop or finding great Christmas gifts from the crafters, you are indirectly supporting local, state and national missions.
