SAMUEL J. ADKINS, 68, of New Haven, died Friday, July 10, 2009, at Parkview Hospital. Born November 10, 1940, in Harold, Kentucky, he worked at Perfection Bakery and he also enjoyed gardening.

Mr. Adkins is survived by his wife, Peggy Adkins of New Haven; children, Billy Harris of New Haven and Shannon (Paul) Brammer of Auburn; grandchildren, Gregory Adkins, Brittani Harris, Zachary Brammer and Wyatt Brammer; two sisters; and four brothers.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; and four brothers.

No services. Arrangements by Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road. Memorials to American Cancer Society.
