MASTER DISTRIBUTORS RIBBON CUTTING

A ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, March 9 celebrated the opening of Master Distributors Cash & Carry, located at 3636 Illinois Road. Participating in the ceremony were two former Waynedale residents, Store Manager Steve Szink and his wife Bonnie (Scheiber).

Master Distributors Cash & Carry is owned by SouthBend-based Richmond Master Distributors, which delivers a large selection of merchandise to convenience stores and tobacco outlets in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois and Kentucky. The firm’s product offerings include tobacco and cigarettes as well as full lines of candy, snacks, groceries, health and beauty care items, general merchandise and novelties. Also offered are store supplies, a private-label coffee and cappuccino service, and hot sandwich and roller-grill programs. “Retail customers enjoy the ease of being able to fully stock their tobacco outlet or convenience store through one primary supplier,” according to Beth Mengel, marketing coordinator for Richmond Master Distributors. Master Distributors Cash & Carry, the firm’s new Fort Wayne facility, is located in the former Huser Paul building on Illinois Road.
