JANET RUMSEY, 76
JANET RUMSEY, 76, of Columbus, Indiana died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Four Seasons Health Care Center. She was born October 16, 1931, in Moores Hill, Indiana, the daughter of Lawrence L. and Mabel M. Maffey Rumsey. She was a 1949 graduate of Burney High School and worked in the accounting department at Cummins Engine Company from 1955 until 1985.
She was a member of Sandy Hook United Methodist Church. She also played professional baseball in Girls Professional Baseball League (GPBL).
Miss Rumsey is survived by sisters, Mrs. Bill (Carol) Norris of Kokomo and Mrs. Bill (Patricia) Anderson of Greensburg; a brother, Mike (Suzanne) Rumsey of Greensburg; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral was conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg, Indiana with the Revs.
Bill and Tammy Leak officiating. Calling was from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Milford Cemetery.
