DAVID DUANE HARMEYER, 50
DAVID DUANE HARMEYER, 50, passed away unexpectedly at home, Sunday, December 13, 2015. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he was a 1984 graduate of Wayne High School. David began his career as a water waste treatment operator at Universal Plated Plastics, Franke Plating and with Metal Plate Polishing for the last 12 years.
He loved spending time with his family and was an avid Colts fan, spending his Sunday’s cheering them on, win or lose.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Denise; daughter, Chelsea Harmeyer of Fort Wayne; sons, Christopher (Amanda) Hinen of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Matthew (Victoria) Hinen of Enemclaw, Washington; grandchildren, Zoe, Hunter, Breyden, Caelyn and baby Hinen due in June 2016; father Robert “Pops” Harmeyer Sr; brothers, William, Johnny and Robert; sisters, Ann Aldridge and Sarah Bickford all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and his loving dogs.
David was preceded in death by brother, Donnie Harmeyer, paternal grandparents, Val and Betty Harmeyer, maternal grandmother, Viola Krominaker, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fredrick and Coleen Groh.
Funeral Service was Saturday, 2pm, December 19, 2015 at D O McComb and Sons Foster Park Chapel, 6301 Fairfield Avenue with calling one-hour prior. Calling also Friday, December 18, 2015 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm at the funeral home. Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
