CINDY LOU RICHARDSON, 58
CINDY LOU RICHARDSON, 58, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fort Wayne on February 9, 1953, she was a life-long resident.
She was the daughter of the late Paul R. Casteel and Patricia I. Casteel.
Cindy has been the caterer at Brookwood Golf Club for the past 22 years.
“Those who knew Cindy always commented on her kind, joyous sprit and infectious smile. She was the consummate hostess, and nothing made her happier than entertaining in her home for family and friends.”
She enjoyed shopping, decorating and gardening. Her biggest joy in life was in making other people feel loved, nurtured and happy.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Charles Richardson; stepmother, Cali Casteel; daughters, Suzanne Nagel and Sarah (Ben) Gerber, all of Fort Wayne; stepchildren, Chad Richardson of Fort Wayne, Aaron Richardson, and Amber Richardson, both Phoenix, Arizona. Cindy especially loved her family and enjoyed her eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She is also survived by her siblings, Cathy Nix, Bob Casteel and Beth Casteel, all of Fort Wayne; and several nieces and nephews.
Service was 6 pm Friday, January 20, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave. with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
