RICHARD F. SPENCER, 87
RICHARD F. SPENCER, 87, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, October 5, 2008, at Parkview Hospital. Born August 14, 1921, in Monroeville, he was a member of Fellowship Missionary and American Legion. He was owner/operator of Spencer Plating for 20 years and worked at Franke Plating for 20 years.
Surviving are his daughter, Sylvia Sue (Jack) Byrd of Fort Wayne, Linda Dian (Ron) Schwartz of Milford, Connie Lou (John) Whiteside and Becky Jo (Al) Mills, both of Fort Wayne, and Teresa Kay (Harry) Morphew of Indianapolis; brother, Hobart M. Spencer of Preble; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grand children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Edgel Spencer on October 17, 2005; and brother, Albert Spencer.
Funeral service was Monday, October 13, 2008 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation was Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
