UNIVERSITY OF ST. FRANCIS BATTLES SATURDAY FOR FIRST PLACE
In a battle for first-place in the Mid-States Football Association Mideast division, St. Xavier-Chicago, IL will host No. 7 Saint Francis this Saturday, November 6 at 2pm.
St. Xavier holds a one-half game lead in the conference standings with a 6-0 record.
St. Xavier is the first NAIA team with 10 wins this season. Last season, St. Xavier ended USF’s 56-game home field winning streak by a victory of 36-24. This was their first win over USF in 5 meetings.
The University of St. Francis Cougars are ranked No. 7 for the third consecutive week. Last week’s game against Olivet Nazarene University the score was 63-7. Go Cougars!
As his 32nd season, Coach Kevin Donley’s career record is now 244-112-1, 129 wins and 26 losses at USF.
If University of St. Francis wins the game on Saturday they will clinch the tie for MSFA Mideast League title.
