FLAG DAY AT THE MASONIC LODGE #739
The members of Waynedale Masonic Lodge #739 and their families celebrated Flag Day, June 14, by properly retiring worn United States flags, and by dedicating a new flag pole at their Lodge located at 7039 Elzey Street in Fort Wayne. The public was welcomed to join Masons and their family members at the event.
“If anyone had an old U.S. flag that they wished to retire, they could bring it and join us in honoring this symbol of our nation and those who have defended America to keep us free,” explained Dominic Hamblin, the Master (Chief Masonic Officer) of Waynedale Masonic Lodge #739. Over two dozen flags of various sizes were retired in a full ceremony.
The solemn occasion was also marked with the dedication of a new flag pole, and the raising of a new United States flag at the Waynedale Masonic Lodge.
